Milan, June 23 (LaPresse) – “They weren’t really on my side. Hearing that was a shock. I didn’t understand why. I told myself I was at war with the anti-doping authorities, but not with Juve,” said French midfielder Paul Pogba in an interview with the program 'Sept à Huit' on French TV channel TF1, regarding the doping case that led to his split from Juventus.

Following his doping suspension and the extortion attempt he was victim of — which resulted in his brother Mathias being sentenced to three years in prison, two of them suspended until December 2024, for “organized extortion” and “attempted extortion” — Pogba has endured two difficult years. “In these last two years, I was sentenced to ten,” he joked.

Pogba did not confirm an imminent move to Monaco. However, the former Manchester United and Juventus player made no secret of his eagerness to return to the pitch. “I’m like a kid. Despite my age, I still love playing, juggling. I’m like a young boy about to enter a youth academy for the first time. Everything will depend on me,” he explained.
