Rome, 29 June (LaPresse) – The Italian women's basketball team wins a historic bronze medal at the European Championships. The Italian quintet, at the Peace and Friendship Stadium in Piraeus, Greece, defeated Olympic silver medallists France 69-54 in the third-place final. The Italian team returns to the European podium after 30 years, since winning silver in Brno in 1995.
