Milan, June 30 (LaPresse) – A fantastic performance by Italy earned them their sixth win in the VNL and a temporary third place in the overall standings. This evening, at the Now Arena in Chicago, packed to capacity, the Azzurri defeated hosts USA at the end of a spectacular match, winning 3–0 (25–21, 25–22, 25–18). Led by Ferdinando De Giorgi, Italy immediately turned yesterday’s tie-break loss to Brazil into positive energy, delivering another excellent performance. The Azzurri overcame the challenges of a tough match against Kiraly’s USA, in what was another thrilling clash between two of the most successful national teams in the history of the sport.
