Turin, July 5 (LaPresse) – Paris Saint-Germain defeated Bayern Munich 2–0 to reach the semifinals of the Club World Cup, currently being held in the United States. The French side broke through late in the match, scoring with Doué in the 78th minute and Dembélé in stoppage time (96'). Between the goals, Champions League winners Bayern were reduced to nine men after direct red cards for Pacho in the 82nd and Lucas Hernandez in the 92nd minute. A potential equalizer by Kane was disallowed for offside. The match also saw a serious injury to Bayern star Jamal Musiala, who left the pitch in tears at the end of the first half after a collision with Donnarumma, who was also emotional. Musiala is feared to have suffered a fractured ankle. In the semifinals, PSG will face the winner of Real Madrid vs Borussia Dortmund.
