Milan, 9 July (LaPresse) – Iga Swiatek qualified for the semi-finals of Wimbledon, the third Grand Slam event of the season, underway on London's grass. The Pole, a former world number 1, defeated Russian Liudmila Samsonova, number 19 Wta, in two sets with a score of 6-2, 7-5. This was Swiatek's first semi-final win at Wimbledon, her ninth in a Slam tournament.
