Milan, July 10 (LaPresse) – Amanda Anisimova is the first finalist of the 2025 Wimbledon women’s tournament, the third Grand Slam of the season. The American, ranked No. 12 in the world, pulled off a surprise victory over world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka in three sets, winning 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 in the first semifinal. It will be Anisimova’s first career Grand Slam final, while Sabalenka once again falls short of reaching the Wimbledon final.
