Rome, July 11 (LaPresse) – Marc Marquez (Ducati) kicked off the Sachsenring weekend in the best possible way. On the German GP circuit, where he has claimed 11 career victories, the Spanish rider and current championship leader was fastest in the first free practice session, clocking a time of 1'20"372. Behind him were Jack Miller (Yamaha, +0.109) and Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia, +0.315), followed by Johann Zarco (Honda) and Maverick Vinales (KTM). Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati) posted the ninth-fastest time, while Alex Marquez (Ducati Gresini), second in the standings and recovering from recent hand surgery, finished 14th.
