Milan, 11 July (LaPresse) – It will be Jannik Sinner against Carlos Alcaraz in the final, again at Wimbledon. In the second semi-final, the Italian, world number one, defeated seven-time Serbian champion Novak Djokovic in three sets with a score of 6-3, 6-3, 6-4 on his fourth match point in less than two hours of play. For Sinner, it will be his fourth consecutive Slam final, the fifth of his career and with three titles won. It is also the Italian's fifth consecutive victory against Djokovic, the last one in the semi-finals at Roland Garros. Sinner also becomes the third Italian to reach a Wimbledon final after Berrettini in 2021 and Paolini in 2024. Djokovic, meanwhile, played his 14th semi-final at Wimbledon, more than anyone else in the history of the tournament. The final between Sinner and Alcaraz, the second in a row between the two after the one in Paris won by the Spaniard, is scheduled for Sunday 13 July at 5pm Italian time.
