Milan, 21 July (LaPresse) – "Calhanoglu? I don't want this to become an issue when it isn't one, out of respect for the player and Inter. We are faced with these phantom requests that never reach us, perhaps they are more media hype than anything else." This was how Inter president Beppe Marotta spoke on the sidelines of the presentation of the partnership with Byd, regarding rumours of possible interest from Galatasaray and Fenerbahce for the Turkish playmaker. ‘At the moment, there is no request, so no consideration and no response. We are waiting for Calhanoglu here on the 23rd, then we will talk,’ added the Nerazzurri club's number one, who, when asked if he was in contact with the player, reiterated that ‘yes, we always talk to him and we have told him that Inter has not expressed any desire to let him go.’ Finally, when asked about the negotiations for Atalanta's Ademola Lookman, Marotta left saying only that ‘we will talk about it later.’
