"Maria Sole and Francesca are a model for the present and future of the movement and also a model for the new generations. On behalf of all Italian referees, I would like to congratulate our girls. We will all be on the pitch with them for the final of the Women's European Championship. This appointment is testament to their qualities and the positive performances they have delivered throughout the competition.
