Milan, 25 July (LaPresse) – It's the eve of the Volleyball Nations League semi-final for Italy's coach Julio Velasco. Tomorrow at 4 p.m., the Italian team will face the hosts Poland in what promises to be a packed Atlas Arena in Lodz. At stake is a place in the final, which, just like last year in Bangkok, will be decided by the match against Poland, with, ironically, a new clash (as in the 2024 Finals) between Brazil and Japan, who won their quarter-finals against Germany (3-0) and Turkey (3-2) respectively. Italy, fresh from their 3-0 victory over the United States in the opening match of the Finals, spent two days of intense training on the court and in the gym to be in the best possible shape for the eagerly awaited match against Poland, coached by Italian coach Stefano Lavarini. The VNL 2025 semi-final will be presented by Carlotta Cambi and Alice Degradi, two of the players who have been ever-present in this VNL and who were on court a year ago in the semi-final against Poland in Bangkok.
