World fencing championships, Curatoli knocked out in sabre semi-final: bronze medal

Milan, 25 July (LaPresse) – Luca Curatoli had to settle for bronze in the men's sabre at the World Fencing Championships in Tbilisi, Georgia. In the semi-finals, the Italian lost to France's Jean-Philippe Patrice 15-13, also suffering from a physical problem halfway through the bout. In the final, France's Patrice will face Georgia's Sandro Bazadze.
