World Fencing Championships, Favaretto and Cristino defeated in foil semi-finals: bronze for both

Milan, 25 July (LaPresse) – No luck for Anna Cristino in the semi-finals of the women's foil at the World Fencing Championships in Tbilisi, Georgia. The Italian lost to France's Pauline Ranvier, who won 15-11. Cristino thus wins the bronze medal. Martina Favaretto also had to settle for bronze in the women's foil. The Italian was defeated in the semi-finals by the strong American Lee Kiefer 15-10.
