Milan, 28 July (LaPresse) – Nicolò Martinenghi won the silver medal in the men's 100m breaststroke at the World Swimming Championships in Singapore. The Italian, Olympic champion in Paris, swam in a time of 58.58 seconds. Gold went to China's Qin Haiyang with 58.23 seconds, bronze to Kyrgyzstan's Denis Petrashov in 58.88 seconds. Fifth place went to another Italian, Ludovico Viberti, in 59.08 seconds.
