Rome, August 9 (LaPresse) – Benjamin Šeško has joined Manchester United, signing a contract that will keep him at the club until June 2030. The English side announced the deal via their official website and social media channels. The agreement is reportedly worth around €85 million, paid to RB Leipzig. The 22-year-old Slovenian striker scored more goals than any other under-23 player in Europe’s top five leagues over the past two seasons. In the most recent campaign, he netted 21 goals and provided six assists for the German team. Šeško has already made 41 appearances and scored 16 goals for Slovenia since becoming his country's youngest-ever debutant in 2021.
“Manchester United's history is obviously very special, but what truly excites me is the future,” Šeško said. “When we discussed the project, it was clear that everything is in place for this team to keep improving and compete for major trophies again soon. Since my arrival, I've felt the positive energy and family environment the club has built. It’s clearly the perfect place to reach my full potential and achieve all my ambitions. I can't wait to learn from Ruben [Amorim] and connect with my teammates to achieve the success we all know we're capable of together.”
