Turin, 16 August (LaPresse) – Roma drew 2-2 against Saudi club Neom at the “Stripe” stadium in Frosinone, one week before their league debut. All four goals came in the first half, with Cristante and Soulé scoring for the Giallorossi. The Saudis had a goal disallowed for offside in stoppage time, which would have made it 3-2. Dybala returned to the line-up, with Gasperini deciding to start him, but he was replaced in the 65th minute. Cristante handed the captain's armband to El Shaarawy when he was substituted.
