Rome, Aug. 26 (LaPresse/AP) – Cadillac has officially announced Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Pérez as its drivers for the 2026 debut season, ruling out an American driver. Veterans Bottas and Pérez, with 16 wins and 527 races combined, are pragmatic choices for the Twg Global-owned team, which aims to build a solid foundation with experienced drivers. Although an American driver had initially been considered, Cadillac prioritized F1 experience. Both drivers also bring commercial appeal, with Pérez connected to the Mexican market and Bottas being a fan favorite.
