Rome, Sept. 2 (LaPresse) – The highly anticipated all-Italian derby between Jannik Sinner and Lorenzo Musetti in the US Open quarter-finals will air free-to-air on SuperTennis at 3 a.m. Italian time. It will be the final match of the day on Arthur Ashe Stadium, following the women’s match between Karolina Muchova and Naomi Osaka, which starts at 1 a.m. Italian time. It's a clever scheduling twist by tournament organizers that will have Italian fans staying up late. “We are victims of our own success,” explained Angelo Binaghi, president of Italian Tennis Federation (FITP), told LaPresse. “This isn’t only the most awaited match for Italians, but also for Americans,” he added. When asked about the record ratings on SuperTennis, Binaghi highlighted, “The numbers are astounding. Our public service today is measured by over one million viewers per day, to whom we not only show tennis but also demonstrate how strong we have become in this sport.”
