Turin, Sept. 7 (LaPresse) – Max Verstappen dominated the Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix at Monza, finishing ahead of the two McLarens of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri. The Red Bull driver, who started from pole position, lost the lead on the first lap but quickly overtook Norris and then pulled away to victory. Ferrari off the podium: Charles Leclerc, who battled with Piastri in the early laps, finished fourth, while the other Ferrari of Lewis Hamilton secured sixth position. In between was the Mercedes of George Russell, in fifth. Next came Alexander Albon’s Williams, in seventh. Eighth place for Kimi Antonelli, though he received a ten-second penalty on the final lap and risks dropping out of the top ten to the benefit of Gabriel Bortoleto (Sauber), who finished ninth, and Isack Hadjar (Racing Bulls), tenth.
