Jannik Sinner, not at his best, lost in the final in four sets in two hours and 44 minutes of play, 6-2, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4. ‘Carlos, you're doing great. You played better than me,’ said the Italian during the award ceremony. ‘I couldn't have done any more, I can't wait to come back next year,’ added the South Tyrolean, who leaves the top of the ATP rankings after 65 weeks in the lead.
