Rome, Sept. 15 (LaPresse) – Not a brilliant performance, but the important thing was to reach the goal. Mattia Furlani has qualified for the long jump final at the World Championships in Tokyo. The Italian relied on the 8.07 meters achieved on his first attempt, without then finding the right feeling with the board again, a mark that nevertheless allowed him to qualify for the final in ninth place.
