Turin, 17 September (LaPresse) – The Milan City Council's green light for the sale of the Meazza stadium to Milan and Inter represents "a very important step, just as it is important to have a stadium that meets modern requirements. In Italy, we are still lagging behind. The stadium asset represents a significant asset for all Italian clubs and also a comfortable home for our fans." This was stated by Inter president Beppe Marotta to Sky Sport before the Champions League match against Ajax. ‘The council has approved it, and we are waiting for the outcome of the actual City Council meeting next week,’ he added. ‘That will be the final act, and we hope for the best.’
