Rome, Oct. 24 (LaPresse) – League leaders Milan miss the chance to pull away in the standings, being held to a 2-2 draw by Pisa in the match valid for the eighth round of Serie A, even risking defeat and finding the equalizer only in stoppage time. At San Siro, the Rossoneri took the lead with Leao in the 7th minute, but in the second half Pisa turned it around with Cuadrado from the penalty spot in the 60th minute and Nzola in the 86th. Milan pushed forward and found the leveller in the 93rd minute through Athekame, scoring his first goal in a Milan shirt. In the 99th minute came a huge chance for the comeback win with Saelemaekers: the Belgian burst into the box and found himself one-on-one with Semper, but instead of placing his shot, he went for a toe-poke and sent the ball wide, squandering Milan’s last chance for victory. A very distracted defensive display in the second half from the Rossoneri, who failed to take advantage of the opportunity to extend their lead over the chasing pack. Allegri’s Milan move up to 17 points, while Pisa—still searching for their first league win—earned a valuable draw to reach 4 points.
