Milan, Nov. 2 (LaPresse) – Italian football is in mourning following the death at 84 of Giovanni Galeone, the historic former coach of Pescara, Udinese, and Napoli. He passed away around lunchtime at the Santa Maria della Misericordia hospital in Udine, where he had been hospitalized. Napoli announced the news on its official social media channels: “President Aurelio De Laurentiis and all of SSC Napoli join in mourning the passing of Giovanni Galeone, a symbol of Italian football and coach of the Azzurri from 1997 to 1998,” the club tweeted.
