Milan, 18 November (LaPresse) – First surprise in the Davis Cup, whose Final Eight is underway in Bologna. Belgium eliminated France, the favourite according to pre-match predictions, thanks to victories by Raphael Collignon (world number 86) over Corentin Moutet (ranked 35th) 2-6, 7-5, 7-5 and Zizou Bergs (ranked 43rd) over Arthur Rinderknech (ranked 29th) 6-3, 7-6. Belgium will face Italy in the semi-finals if captain Filippo Volandri's team manages to beat Austria on Wednesday.
