Milan, 16 December (LaPresse) – Far from retiring, Novak Djokovic has no intention of hanging up his racket and is ready to start the 2026 season in Australia. The Serbian champion has entered the ATP 250 tournament in Adelaide (12-17 January) to prepare for the Australian Open, the first Grand Slam event of the season, scheduled from 18 January to 1 February. The 38-year-old Serbian, ranked number 4 in the world, has played and won the Adelaide tournament twice in his career, in 2007 and 2023. Also expected to feature alongside Djokovic are Jack Draper, João Fonseca, Tommy Paul and Stefanos Tsitsipas, among others. Djokovic has not yet lost hope of winning his 25th Grand Slam title. In Australia, he will be chasing his 11th victory in an attempt to break the new reign of Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz, winners of the last eight major tournaments.
