Rome, 18 December (LaPresse) – UEFA and CONMEBOL, together with the Spanish and Argentine Football Federations, today announced the venue, date and kick-off time for the 2026 Men's Finalissima, a match between the two continental title holders, the winners of Euro 2024 and Copa América 2024. The match will be played at Lusail Stadium in Qatar on Friday, 27 March, with kick-off at 9 p.m. local time. The match will be organised by the Qatar Local Organising Committee (LOC) for football events. Introduced as part of a close collaboration between UEFA and CONMEBOL, the Finalissima celebrates football excellence by bringing together the best of European and South American national teams. Argentina, the reigning world champions, won the first edition of the Finalissima in 2022, beating Italy 3-0 at Wembley Stadium in London. "The Finalissima brings together two continental champions in one of the most prestigious occasions in football, highlighting the true global reach of the game and the enduring bond between our confederations. We look forward to a memorable evening of world-class football and celebrations,‘ said UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin. ’This emblematic match is more than a competition; it is a symbol of cooperation and respect between confederations, and an opportunity for fans to enjoy a truly historic event," added CONMEBOL President Alejandro Domínguez.
