Turin, 27 December (LaPresse) – Cagliari secured a vital win, beating Torino 2-1 away in their Serie A matchday 17 fixture. Torino took the lead in the 28th minute of the first half through Vlasic, who was set up perfectly by Adams. The Sardinians equalised in the 45th minute from a corner kick with a touch from Prati off a rebound from Mazzitelli. In the second half, Kilicsoy scored the winning goal in the 21st minute with a solo counterattack. Torino's final assault was unsuccessful thanks to two decisive saves by Caprile on Simeone and Zapata. Pisacane's team thus moves up to 18 points, six above the relegation zone, while Torino remains stuck on 20.
