Milan, 30 December (LaPresse/AP) – Good news for the Denver Nuggets: Nikola Jokic will only miss a few weeks of the season. The Serbian centre has been diagnosed with only ‘a hyperextension of the left knee,’ the team announced on Tuesday, adding that the three-time MVP ‘will be re-evaluated in four weeks.’ It's a blow to the Nuggets, already short on players, but it's not an issue that will end his season or require surgery. Jokic is expected to miss about 16 games in a month, but could return to play before the All-Star Game in February. Jokic, considered by many to be the best player in the world right now, was injured with about three seconds left in the first half of Denver's 147-123 loss to Miami on Monday night.
