Rome, Jan. 3 (LaPresse) – The Serie A Basketball League has announced that the championship game between Virtus Bologna and Trapani Sharks scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday, Jan. 4, “will not take place.” The Sicilian club announced yesterday its decision not to take the field in the match against Bologna. The LBA and FIP denied the postponement of the 14th round match, which had been requested by Trapani due to the reduced number of players available. A penalty of €50,000 plus an additional penalty point (currently already at 8) will be imposed, but if the club fails to show up for the second game, it will be excluded from the championship.
