Turin, 29 Jan. (LaPresse) – George Russell at the wheel of the Mercedes set the fastest time at the end of the fourth day of Formula 1 testing at the Barcelona circuit. The British driver clocked a time of 1:16.641 – on soft tyres – ahead of his teammate Kimi Antonelli, who was second with a time of 1:17.081. Third place went to Charles Leclerc's Ferrari, who took over from Lewis Hamilton in the afternoon, finishing with a time of 1:18.450. Adrian Newey's new Aston Martin was seen for the first time, completing its first ever laps at Montmelò, behind its rivals. Lance Stroll took to the track at the wheel of a car with a temporary all-black livery. McLaren and Red Bull will return to the track on Friday for the final day of testing.
