Milan, 11 February (LaPresse) – It's over between Olympique Marseille and coach Roberto De Zerbi. This was announced by the club itself in an official statement published on its website. ‘Olympique Marseille and Roberto De Zerbi, coach of the first team, announce the end of their collaboration by mutual agreement,’ the statement reads. ‘Following a consultation that brought together all the parties involved in the club's management – owner, president, sporting director and coach – it was decided to opt for a change at the helm of the first team. This was a difficult collective decision, taken after careful consideration in the interests of the club in order to respond to the sporting challenges of the end of the season,’ the club continued. ‘Olympique Marseille would like to thank Roberto De Zerbi for his dedication, commitment, professionalism and seriousness, which led to the club finishing second in the 2024/25 season. The club wishes him all the best for the rest of his career,’ the statement concluded.
