Bormio (Sondrio), 16 February (LaPresse) – Norway's Atle Lie McGrath leads the men's slalom at the Milan-Cortina Games after the first run. The Norwegian athlete is 59 hundredths ahead of Switzerland's Loic Meillard, with Austria's Fabio Gstrein third, 94 hundredths behind. Tommaso Saccardi had a good run, finishing tenth, 2.23 seconds behind. Tobiad Katslunger is eighteenth after 40 athletes have completed their runs. Alex Vinatzer's slalom ended after a handful of gates, and Tommaso Sala also failed to finish the race. The Olympic giant slalom champion, Brazil's Lucas Pinheiro Braathen, was out after falling halfway down the course. The second run will take place at 1:30 p.m.
