Rome, 19 February (LaPresse) – The FIGC Appeal Court, sitting in joint session, has rejected Antonio Zappi's appeal, confirming the 13-month ban for the president of the Italian Referees' Association. The head of the AIA was sanctioned on 12 January by the National Federal Tribunal for inducing the former heads of CAN C and CAN D, Maurizio Ciampi and Alessandro Pizzi, to resign from their respective positions. The Court also rejected the appeal by Emanuele Marchesi, a member of the AIA National Committee, who was sanctioned by the TFN with a two-month ban.
