Cortina d'Ampezzo (Belluno), 19 February (LaPresse) – "Sunday was a difficult day to manage, even after Lindsey Vonn's injury, to whom I send my sincerest wishes for a speedy recovery. It's clear that everyone expected more from me, perhaps myself first and foremost, but winning a medal at the Olympics is never a foregone conclusion. So I'm taking home this bronze medal, knowing that I was able to get on the podium in this discipline in the only three editions of the Games I've participated in. I've always been very demanding of myself, at times even unjustifiably harsh. But it's clear that the Olympics only happen once every four years, so it's a shame to make a mistake in such an event. At the same time, however, you have to be aware, when you look in the mirror at night, that you have given your all. And it's okay to make mistakes, there's no doubt about that." This is how Sofia Goggia summed up her Olympics in an interview with Rtl 102.5.
