Bergamo, Feb. 25 (LaPresse) – Atalanta’s feat, overwhelming Borussia Dortmund 4-1 in the return leg of the Champions League playoffs, overturning the 2-0 first-leg defeat and qualifying for the round of 16. Scamacca immediately puts the Orobici ahead in the 5th minute, in first-half stoppage time Zappacosta doubles the lead with the help of a deflected shot. In the second half, at the 12th minute, Pasalic scores the third with a header, igniting Bergamo even more, but the Yellow-Blacks reduce the deficit in the 30th minute with Adeyemi’s goal, which would virtually extend the match to extra time. In the final minute of stoppage time, however, a naive foul in the area by Bensebaini – sent off on the occasion – on Kristovic, ready to head the ball, gives Samardzic the chance to score the decisive goal. The midfielder does not miss this very heavy penalty and sends Atalanta to the round of 16.
