Miami, Mar 16 (LaPresse) – The main draw for the Miami Open, the second Masters 1000 of the season, taking place on hard courts at the Hard Rock Stadium from March 18 to 29 (prize money $9,415,725), has been announced. Here are the first-round opponents and possible paths for the six Italian players in the Florida draw, pending the conclusion of the qualifiers:

Jannik Sinner – winner of D. Dzumhur / qualifier

Lorenzo Musetti – qualifier

Flavio Cobolli – winner of R. Collignon / G. Dimitrov

Luciano Darderi – M. Giron / qualifier

Matteo Berrettini – A. Muller

Matteo Arnaldi – A. Shevchenko

Sinner (19–3) is playing in Miami for the fifth time. He is the only Italian to have won the Masters 1000 in Florida, triumphing in 2024 after defeating Daniil Medvedev in the semifinals and Grigor Dimitrov in the final. He has also reached two other finals—the only ones for an Italian in the tournament: in 2021, his first Masters 1000 final (lost to Polish player Hubert Hurkacz), and in 2023 (stopped by Medvedev).
