Turin, 19 March (LaPresse) – Having already secured victory in the first leg, Fiorentina beat Rakow again in the return leg of the Europa Conference League round of 16, thereby qualifying for the quarter-finals against either AEK Larnaca or Crystal Palace. In Poland, Vanoli’s side staged a 2-1 comeback: Struski broke the deadlock two minutes into the second half with a winning diagonal shot from an assist by Ivi Lopez, while Ndour levelled the scores in the 22nd minute following a lay-off from Piccoli with a deflected shot. In stoppage time, with the home side caught out and goalkeeper Zych desperately rushing up for the final corner, Pongracic scored the winning goal that secured qualification for the quarter-finals.
