Milan, Mar. 25 (LaPresse) – The king of speed is ready to race in the 100m in Rome. The Golden Gala Pietro Mennea is thrilled to announce the presence of Olympic 100m champion Noah Lyles at the 46th edition, scheduled for Thursday, June 4 at the Stadio Olimpico. The American sprinter, one of the most influential and recognizable athletes in recent years in global athletics, will be among the brightest stars of the fifth stage of the Wanda Diamond League, the first of the season in Europe, according to a statement. "One of my favorite races ever was in Rome against Michael Norman, I hope there will be another like it," commented Noah Lyles, recalling his first, and so far only, participation at the Golden Gala in 2019. In the coming weeks, all the details of the 100 meters at the Olimpico and Lyles’ rivals on the straight in front of the Tribuna Monte Mario will be revealed, but it is already clear that the sprint will be one of the highlights, with a cast that promises to be stellar.
