Miami (USA), 25 March (LaPresse) – Jannik Sinner has reached the quarter-finals of the Miami Masters 1000, defeating American Alex Michelsen in straight sets 7-5, 7-6(4). The world number two struggled but extended his run of consecutive sets won at Masters 1000 tournaments to 28 and reached the quarter-finals in this category for the 20th time in his career. In the next round, he will face American Frances Tiafoe. In a surprise result, Sebastian Korda was knocked out, defeated in three sets by Spaniard Martin Landaluce after having eliminated world number one Carlos Alcaraz.
