Rome, 26 March (LaPresse) – ‘Starting with a break advantage gives you confidence. The others might be aggressive, so I try to stay as composed as possible, mentally too. There can be ups and downs, so I try to stay calm. And make the most of the chances that come my way. That was the key.’ So said Jannik Sinner after reaching the semi-finals of the ATP 1000 in Miami by beating American Frances Tiafoe. "How do you stay mentally fresh and hungry? Being hungry is natural. Mentally, what I try to do is stay calm and relaxed off the court; I’ve played a lot over the last three or four weeks, including training sessions. I’m trying to keep it up. This is the last hard-court tournament before the clay season and I’m very happy to be back in the semi-finals,” he added. “It was a very solid match. I’m happy with the level I played at. Frances is a very tough opponent. I tried to make the match as physical as possible; I served well. I’m happy and obviously we’ll see what happens tomorrow,” he continued.
