Rome, 2 May (LaPresse) – The Lakers secured a commanding victory in Houston in Game 6 to close out the series 4–2, led by LeBron James’s 28 points, and will now face the Oklahoma City Thunder in the next round. In Orlando, the Detroit Pistons stay alive by coming back from a 24-point deficit in the second half, capitalising on a disastrous second-half shooting performance by the Magic and forcing a Game 7 in the series. The series between Toronto and Cleveland will also be decided in Game 7, as with 1.2 seconds remaining in overtime of Game 6, RJ Barrett sank a crazy three-pointer thanks to the ball bouncing high off the backboard, securing victory for the Raptors to level the series at 3-3. Here are the results of last night’s NBA play-offs: Orlando Magic v Detroit Pistons Game 6 79-93 (Series 3-3); Toronto Raptors v Cleveland Cavaliers Game 6 112-110 OT (Series 3-3); Houston Rockets v Los Angeles Lakers Game 6 78-98 (Series 2-4).
