Rome, Jan. 11 (LaPresse) – “Our soldiers have captured North Korean military personnel in the Kursk region. Two soldiers, although wounded, survived and were transported to Kiev, where they are now communicating with the Security Service of Ukraine.” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote this on X. “It was not an easy task: Russian forces and other North Korean military personnel usually execute the wounded to erase any evidence of North Korea's involvement in the war against Ukraine,” the leader remarked, saying he was ‘grateful’ to Ukrainian soldiers ”who captured these two individuals.”
“Like all prisoners of war, these two North Korean soldiers are receiving the necessary medical care. I have instructed the Ukrainian Security Service to allow journalists contact with these prisoners. The world needs to know the truth about what is happening,” Zelensky added.
