Milan, Jan 17 (LaPresse) – The office of the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) president, Mahmud Abbas, said that following the announcement of the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, the Palestinian presidency confirms that it ‘will assume full responsibility in the Gaza Strip’. Ynet reports. The Palestinian government says it has ‘completed all preparations to carry out any tasks, such as alleviating the suffering of our people, returning displaced people to their homes, managing the border crossings and restoring basic services such as water and electricity’.
