Milan, 17 Jan (LaPresse) – TikTok CEO Shou Chew thanked US President-elect Donald Trump ‘for his commitment to working with us to find a solution’ to keep the app available in the country. ‘We are grateful and pleased to have the support of a president who truly understands our platform, one who has used TikTok to express his thoughts and perspectives, connecting with the world and generating more than 60 billion views of his content in the process,’ Shou Chew said in a video released by TikTok itself. Cnn reports. Chew promised users that the company ‘will do everything in its power to ensure that our platform thrives’ and emphasised that it is taking a ‘firm stand in favour of the First Amendment and against arbitrary censorship’. According to two sources, Chew is expected to be present at Trump's inauguration ceremony.
