Washington (USA), Jan 22 (LaPresse) – Donald Trump is threatening new sanctions against Russia if Vladimir Putin does not agree to end the war in Ukraine. ‘I'm not trying to hurt Russia. I love the Russian people and I've always had a very good relationship with President Putin, and that's despite the radical left's Russia, Russia, Russia hoax. We must never forget that Russia helped us win World War II, losing nearly 60,000,000 lives,' Trump says in a lengthy post on Truth. ‘That said,’ he continues, ‘I will do Russia, whose economy is failing, and President Putin, a big favour. Get your act together now and stop this ridiculous war! It will only get worse,' says the US president. ‘If we don't make a ‘deal’, and soon, I will have no choice but to impose high levels of taxes, tariffs and sanctions on anything sold by Russia to the US and various other countries,’ Trump threatens. ‘Let's end this war, which would never have started if I were president! We can do it the easy way or the hard way, and the easy way is always better. It is time to make a deal. No more lives should be lost!’ the president concluded.
