Rome, Jan. 26 (LaPresse) – ‘Tomorrow marks 80 years since the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau Nazi concentration and extermination camp. We will never forget the 6 million Jews murdered in cold blood and all the victims of the Holocaust’. EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen writes this on X. ‘As the last survivors disappear, it is our duty as Europeans to remember the unspeakable crimes and honour the memory of the victims,’ she stressed.
