Brussels, Jan. 27 (LaPresse) – Defense spending beyond 2% of GDP, as requested by NATO and former U.S. President Donald Trump? "Let’s first reach 2%, and then we’ll see what comes next. For Italy, achieving 2% is already a very, very difficult goal under the current circumstances, without exiting the Stability Pact, almost impossible. We are making efforts to increase defense spending, but we face a problem caused by the unchecked Superbonus, and now we have to pay the price for past mistakes. Therefore, we must find a solution at the European level," said Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani on the sidelines of the Foreign Affairs Council in Brussels.
