Washington (USA), 29 Jan (LaPresse) – The White House Budget Office has lifted the freeze order on federal loans and grants that had been ordered on Monday. This was reported by the Washington Post, after viewing a copy of the new memo circulated to federal agencies after negative reactions in recent days. In the memo, Matthew Vaeth, acting director of the White House Office of Management and Budget, states that OMB memo M-25-13 ‘is hereby revoked’. The memo ordered federal agencies to ‘temporarily suspend all activities related to obligations or disbursement of all federal financial assistance’.
