Berlin (Germany), 22 Feb (LaPresse) – The man arrested on suspicion of being the alleged perpetrator of the knife attack that seriously injured a Spanish tourist near the Holocaust Memorial in Berlin last night is a 19-year-old Syrian asylum seeker. This was reported by Bild, adding that the suspect was identified as Wassim al M.. After the crime he was arrested by the police with blood on his hands. The 19-year-old lives in a refugee centre in Leipzig. The rooms are currently being searched by the police. According to information, the suspect stabbed the Spanish tourist in the neck. According to the police, the condition of the 30-year-old is stable after emergency surgery.
